eMoov arranged two viewings this afternoon on a property we have for sale in Basildon. They both derived from Rightmove and both telephoned our central office to make the appointments with our sales team.

The owner of the house has previously marketed through local ‘High St’ estate agents and was being charged a fee of 1.5% which equates to £2175.00 plus vat of £380. A total of £2555.00 if he had sold through Balgores, Bairstow Eves, Abbotts and the like.

So the owner has fingers and toes crossed for an offer from our first time buyer now (who has mortgage arranged and conveyancing in place), knowing that he has paid us just £349 to do the job that, so far, the far more expensive agents simply haven’t.

You would probably argue that eMoov offer more for less whilst other, old fashioned estate agents offer less for more?
