The state of Ohio requires anybody who drives or has license plates on a motor vehicle to have either automobile insurance or other proof of financial responsibility. The minimum amount of auto insurance required by the state of Ohio is $12.5K for bodily injury per person, $25K for bodily injury per accident and $7.5K for property damage.
